POWERAGE Humbucker This set will give you great tone for classic rock and more, made to bring a special tone from Angus early years with a bridge hotter then the usual TTop bridge. Neck 50mm approx 7.28k Bridge 50mm approx 7.8k. Angus changed out his bridge until he found one that was unusually hot (for a TTop) this was part of his tone secret in the early AC/DC years. We worked closely with SoloDallas in the development of this pickup set. 4 conductor leads and using Alnico 5 magnets.

Hi David!

I've finally just installed the Powerage bridge pickup.

I was very excited to plug in my SG - a Standard - into my 1979 Marshall JMP.
And now that I have done that my guitar sounds like all those late 70's and early 80's albums I grew up with.
Instant comfort zone for me...

This, of course, is a relief because that's what I wanted when I ordered it. Normally, after I put in a new pickup I'm usually spending time at the amp trying to make the amp work with the pickup. Most pickups are just too hot and don't have the musicality.

But the Powerage was good to go from the first strum - and it's not just for AC/DC riffs. Plenty of drive but very open up top and with clarity and note articulation. I can hear all the notes perfectly - even on overdriven chords.

The added capacitors were a nice final touch to a really great transaction.

I'm really happy with this purchase and will be back, thank you!

Of course these went into my SG replacing the lifeless tones from stock pups and transformed into a fire breathing tone master.These pups have a great bite and are extremely articulate.The neck pup is creamy and has enough kick to bite through any mix. The string separation is outstanding on both pups even when you crank up the OD no mud. They clean up very well when the volume is backed down. You can get Allman Bro - Clapton,Also some nice 80's thrash also.Once again no mud very articulate great sound which in the studio will be great a there's real definition between both pickups. These are great for clean tones.If Angus is your man the tones and sound is there definately but,with  David's cream to the coffee tone. David's pickups are never a copy of type pickup  They are his own but you wont be sorry getting these.Great for clean sounds,blues,rock,southern rock,Gospel,and even in the metal realm just great pickups. Cudos Mr David once again..
